Refund Policy

 

At Equibooks Financials, we pride ourselves on providing clear, reliable and professional bookkeeping support. As a service-based business, our time, expertise and work delivered cannot be “returned” once completed.

For this reason, refunds are limited and handled in accordance with Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

 

By using our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. General Policy — No Refunds for Services Already Delivered

 

Refunds are not offered for:

• Time spent performing bookkeeping or administrative work

• Completed or partially completed tasks

• Reports, reconciliations or documents already prepared

• Payroll already processed

• Catch-up or cleanup work already started

• Missed appointments

• Late cancellations

• Packages that have been partly used

 

This is due to the nature of our industry: once time and labour have been invested, they cannot be undone.

2. Refunds Under Australian Consumer Law

 

Refunds may be issued only where required by law, including when:

• A service has not been supplied as agreed

• A major fault or failure has occurred directly due to our error

 

If an error is made by Equibooks Financials, we will correct it promptly at no additional charge.

Refunds beyond this are only provided in situations legally required under the ACL.

3. Prepaid Services & Packages

 

If you purchase a prepaid package (weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or project-based):

• Hours or inclusions already delivered are non-refundable

• Any remaining unused portion may be credited toward future services

• Refunds are not issued for change-of-mind

• If the service is paused or cancelled by you, package credits may be held for 3 months unless otherwise agreed

 

Credits are not transferable to other individuals or businesses without written agreement.

4. Consultation Calls (Paid calls discussed prior to)

 

Consultation calls are non-refundable once the session has taken place.

 

If you cancel with more than 24 hours’ notice, you may reschedule at no cost.

 

If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or miss the session:

• No refund is provided

• The session may be forfeited

5. Digital Resources & Documents

 

If digital files (PDFs, templates, reports, guides) are supplied:

• These are non-refundable

• No refunds are given for change-of-mind

• No refunds are given once the file has been downloaded or accessed

6. Incorrect or Incomplete Information Provided by the Client

 

If errors occur due to incomplete, inaccurate, delayed or missing information from the client:

• Equibooks Financials is not responsible for resulting delays or issues

• Refunds are not provided

• Additional fees may apply if corrections require extra time

​

 

7. Ongoing Services & Retainers

 

For ongoing services:

• Refunds for prior weeks are not provided

• Work already completed is non-refundable

• Cancellations require 14 days’ notice

• Work completed within the notice period remains billable

​

 

8. Requesting a Refund or Review

 

If you believe a refund may apply under Australian Consumer Law, you may request a review by emailing:

Please provide:

• Your full name

• Business name

• Invoice number

• Summary of your concern

 

We will respond within 5 business days.

9. Changes to This Policy

 

We may update this Refund Policy as required.

The latest version will always be available on our website.
